  lime plaster starts with taking a 50 lb bag of hydrated lime ($8.00 at
most feed stores or building supplier) soaking it in a drum of clean
water for 48 hours or   more, then  taking the soft lime putty ( no
extra water, just lift out pails of putty)  and mixing with sand 3-1
lime and letting it age a bit  ( a few days or more) to make plaster,
