Hi Charmaine brilliant idea about studio/campsite, as we are artists it would be believable. The largest town near the land is Deposit~my mother told us that, and we have yet to be up to investigate it. I am hoping the earth there is suitable for cob building--it is a mountianous terrain. there should be decent rock bed for a foundation, and i imagine the ground might be clay-like and need some sand added. thks~Ollie ---------- > From: crtaylor <tms at northcoast.com> > To: coblist at deatech.com > Subject: Re: Cob eastern pennsylvania > Date: Tuesday, July 07, 1998 7:06 AM > > I would find out about building a "agriculture" building or a studio, > retreat, and NOT call it a house or permanent shelter...even if ypu do wind > up living in it as you plan. > > (Where in Eastern PA...I'm from there, and would love to hear how your > project progresses.) > > Keep us posted! > > Charmaine R.
