Experience a wide variety of skills while helping to complete buildings on
land.  Located outside Oxford MI, 1 hr north of Detroit, this wooded rural
site, with its many natural structures, rocket stoves & earth oven, is a
great place to spend a month ~ living & building together with others !
Learn the basics of earth plaster, strawbale walls, cob construction,
living roof, thatched roof, rocket stove, foraging, fermenting +.
Classroom presentations & hands-on.  Instructor, Deanne Bednar, illustrator
of the Hand-Sculpted House, the Natural Plaster Book & the Cobbers'
Companion. Trained with Cob Cottage Company. Attend for 1 month or more.
April thru June, August thru October & January 2016 Winternship. Details at
