[Cob] Earthen floor with lime? Recipe?Jill Hogan jill.hogan at mat.org.zaTue Sep 6 06:35:26 CDT 2011
For me if you have a thick enough stone/gravel base it is not water from below but from above and the vapour barrier traps the water in the cob and thats when the floors start gettin mildrew, mould, or even break up. That is just my half penny input for what it worth, from my obsession of building with no or as little plastic as possible On 2011/09/06 01:17 AM, Henry Raduazo wrote: > In my earth floor, I used 6 mill plastic instead of cardboard. it is not as environmental, but it is cheap and it is required as a vapor barrier in the VA. Personally wouldn't use tiles, to hard and cold and clinical. Dropped two glass bowls on my floor last night neither broke didn't even chip. >> >> On 2011/09/05 11:33 PM, Brian Ziggy wrote: >>> Hiya all: >>> >>> I am seeking information regarding earthen floors with a lime content.
