[Cob] Wisconsin cob?Janet Standeford janet.standeford at gmail.comSun Jul 11 13:19:32 CDT 2010
Hi evveryone, I had a chance to work on some cob that went over straw bales down the road and the finish before earth plaster is lime soaked straw, chopped fine first. I this how everyone else done this? First they soaked 8 gal chopped straw for 1/2 hr (when taken out- barely dripping) in 10 oz lime plaster to 4 gal water. Then they mixed 3/4 gal lime plaster slurry with 2 gal clay slurry then added 2 gal packed sand and then added the wet straw. This was mixed in a mixer.
