[Cob] Waterproofing with prickly pears (Jill)Jill Hogan jill.hogan at mat.org.zaThu Jan 1 04:45:08 CST 2009
Hi Mitch, Fermenting is what you want. The chopped leaves sit in water for three weeks and brew become quite ripe and glutenous and that is what you paint on with a paint roller. However, I would have thought that any organic material (such as chopped prickly pear leaves) sitting in water for several weeks would ferment. How do you keep the liquid from spoiling? Ma’a salama.
