[Cob] manure tea on uncooked produceShody Ryon qi4u at yahoo.comMon Oct 30 16:25:33 CST 2006
Hi Ron, I agree to an extent; I worked in a greenhouse that grew wheatgrass, sunflower and buckwheat micro greens that were meant to be consumed raw and grown in a "home made vegan" compost that was infiltrated by rats. We sent the compost to a lab for testing. The test results were positive for a non-toxic (to humans) form of ecoli and was therefore (still) considered dangerous. It seems to be a cultural mania in this country. Cereal companies could coat horse manure in sugar as sell it as high fiber cereal and noone would know. It would scare us all to know how much the various food lobies have spent to have certain amounts of fecal matter and worse allowed in our food supply. It's been that way for many years. Just a thought, and I mean no disrespect to anyones comments. Ron
