This was apparently meant for the list. - Shannon ---------- Forwarded message ---------- Date: Tue, 1 Mar 2005 07:33:22 EST From: Raduazo at aol.com To: dealy at deatech.com Subject: Re: [Cob] just cob until it feels right The best laid plans gey aft astray... My first goal for this building season is to finish the children's playhouse at St. John's. To do that I am afraid that we need a little cooperation from the weather. To do the wall we need a couple of days where the night time temperature is above 28 degrees and to do the roof we need 4 or 5 days where the temperature is above 28 degrees and no rain snow or sleet is predicted. While earth plasters are probably not going to be hurt by a little frost, I think it is too big a gamble to try plastering cold walls where the temperatures are predicted to be in the mid to low 20's. So, much as I hate to do it I am going to discontinue trying to do anything till this cold snap ends. I will be checking AOL's seven day forecast for a break in the weather and I hope we can schedule something in the near future. Till then thanks for offers of help and I hope you will still be available when we can actually get out and do some work. Later this year I hope to build other structures at Acorn Hill Elementary school and at Tuckahoe and I will try to schedule something on a weekends for those who are gainfully employed. Thanks Ed
