[Cob] roof placement

Thinking about the cob house design and building it occurs to me that I have a big problem... 

A few years ago, I had gotten up on the RV roof to do something... and there I stayed. Stuck with fear. I couldn't move. I think a neighbor heard me whimpering, because soon enough I heard and saw the fire truck coming. Out of sheer embarrassment, I forced myself to the ladder and got down. A miracle, to be sure. Then of course, went inside to hide out.

So, how can I put on any type of roof? Let alone one with a loft??
