Thanks, Joe and Abe for the insights.... I guess I'll have to see if I can get a bobcat for a birthday!!! I do have a friend with one horse, but mixing it in her paddock and then toting it to whatever building site doesn't sound feasible... 3200 sq. ft. is larger than the house i live in already! Might as well go for it, though, if one needs that much room..... My vision is for a smallish house in U shape with a courtyard and a wall across the open end of the U. But getting my honey to accept that a mud house is a liveable house is the biggest project! I will have to remind him of the Spanish houses I have lived in. Imagine hanging the laundry on the tile roof (built with a low wall) and a grapevine climbing up the side of the house to the roof arbor! What fun to dream and no project gets done without the idea in place first.......
