Cob: Help, I'm moving to the coast

Hey out there.  I am moving to the coast and need some help with where I 
should stay.  I've only been out to visit once and I don't know much about 
the area.
We are looking to live near Portland, or Seattle.
I have my airstream to stay in and I'm not sure where we can stay for cheap, 
or free!
Maybe somone has some land to lease or let us stay on???
