Cob: Mixers

Just for reference:

I've seen pictures where in Japan they'd build up a small levee area
around where they would be preparing their soil straw water mixing and
aging. In one picture I saw the use of a roto-tiller to mix up the mud
mix. Traditionally the mixing is done with feet and hoes. The hoes to
bring up the bottom portions that need to get mixed in with the upper
portions. The amount of soil mix needed for the rough daubing/cobbing
is the most. Later more fine coats of mud/clay or lime plaster require
less amounts and are easier done by hand in mixing troughs.
