Linoleum used to be manufactured in Kirkaldy, Fife, Scotland - in fact they thought of renaming the place to 'what's that smell?' on account of frequent comments by tourists. It is 100% 'green', as you say, only ever being made from resourcses that are entrely natural and sustainable. It is made largely from pine resin and although similar in appearance to vinyl it is not oil derived or anything like that, only made from natural organic substances.
