We have put laid hand made Spanish clay floor tiles, (in a holiday fishing
cottage, in N Devon UK )which when not sealed are easily stained and of
course are not water resistant.
If my memory serves me correct we sealed them with a couple coats of boiled
linseed oil.
This process is then normally carried out once a year, applying only one
coat,
