Cob: bullet resistance of cobJohn Schinnerer John-Schinnerer at data-dimensions.comTue Nov 16 20:26:47 CST 1999
Aloha, I don't see much point in wasting bandwidth arguing whether the topic is appropriate, nor guesses as to how well cob will stop bullets. I have no objection to someone going out and trying it in a safe context and reporting back, however - this would seem the simplest resolution. There are a lot of people in the world (far, far too many) who have no choice for now but to live amidst ongoing risk of flying bullets. It may be "just another benefit of cob"...that if one lives in a place where flying bullets are more common than on this list (which is far, far too much of the world these days), having an inexpensive renewable biodegradable self-buildable dwelling also protects one from such flying bullets. The glass will still get shattered, though... John Schinnerer
