There was a query about Natural Ventilation using the solar chimmey effect (IE
Hot Air rises and is replaced by the cooler earthtube cooled air) and Wind
Assisted ventilation.  The discribed wind scoops was one such experment, of
which I described how I did it, and the effects thereof.  

Personally I find well placed windows far more effective and easier to use.
On the other hand powered venting or solar chimmey venting has it's benifits
AKA the Attic Fan appoach.
