The wind Catcher's of the middle east scoop the air in a move it thru the house. The often have multiple shafts to allow facing different directions so the wind goes down one set of shafts (facing the wind) and down to the house then back up and out the shafts that are facing opposite the wind. sometimes the path into the house would cross over an undergound water reservior. The wind catcher then works as an evaporative cooler when used with water. > > Your other post talked about high humidity in the summer where you are > located. I have not thought of the condensations in the pipes...mmmmm Better slope them a bit out. Pat & the Maukly crew email: goshawk at gnat.net http : http://www.gnat.net/~goshawk
