Cob natural building workshop update

This is an update on the previous posting for our Central Texas cob workshop. 
Ianto has added and enriched the curriculum. This residence will be the second
in Central Texas.  The first, The Cob Cottage at Rainbow Ranch, will be on the
 Green Building Tour which follows two days of the 6th Annual Green Building
Conference in Austin, Texas.  

A Natural Building Workshop
November 3 - 9, 1997 in Blanco County, Texas

Ianto Evans of The Cob Cottage Company, assisted by his wife Linda Smiley and
Austin's Gayle Borst, will lead this intensive, hands-on learning experience
for both owner-builders and people wanting to work professionally with natural
materials. Architects, designers, advanced cobbers, construction craft
specialists and artisans are encouraged to attend. 

Topics Advanced cobbing techniques, design and structure, new developments in
mixing and building, pushing the limits of cob, vaults and domes, materials
evaluation, foundation options, earth floors, natural plasters, and
integration of various related crafts such as metal, wood, ceramics, etc.
Curriculum depends on participants' priorities.
The project A small residence with sleeping loft on 14 beautiful acres in
Central Texas bordering the Blanco River and bisected by a seasonal creek.
Numerous oak, juniper and pecan trees, grass and wildflower meadows, and
limestone outcroppings can be found. Weather likely to be most excellent. Rain
possible.
Fee $495 for 7 days. Includes demonstrations, site visits to related
buildings, instructional materials, resource library, nutritious meals,
camping sites, showers, community building and more.  Limited to 23. Confirm
